Picking the wrong people, partner, or profession in your life will cost you far more than just your peace - it will cost you years of recovery, emotional bandwidth, and sometimes, even your sense of self.
The journey to self-love, self-acceptance, and self-actualization isn’t easy, especially in a world constantly telling you who to be and how to act. But the truth is, the cost of not knowing yourself is far greater than the discomfort of discovering who you really are.
When you know yourself - truly know yourself - you make decisions that align with your values, protect your peace, and support your growth. And that’s a life worth investing in.
I had to learn some hard lessons over the course of my life.
From childhood trauma to marriage, divorce, single parenthood, and emotional and financial bankruptcy, I often found myself wondering, How did I get here? Where do I go next? I had two small children depending on me, and I didn’t know how to rebuild without causing more collateral damage. All I knew was that I had to start over - from the ground up - and I had to do it better.
But how?
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is this: there’s no such thing as the “wrong” path. Even the detours and dead ends will teach you something you need to know, so you can stop beating yourself up over past decisions now.
The key is not staying there too long. The longer you stay, the further you drift - not just from your destination, but from yourself.
For me, the rebuilding process began with religion. Then, it shifted to spirituality. And if you know me, you know I don’t half-ass anything. I was a devoted Christian, then an overzealous wannabe guru who saw a spiritual meaning in everything. But eventually, I realized that the answers I was searching for - the ones about who I am and who I want to become - weren’t out there.
They were inside me. And only one person could answer them: Me.
Every beginning and every end taught me resilience, strength, and the power of starting over. Most importantly, they brought me closer to understanding who I really am.
I am still figuring that out by the way. But I’m getting closer every day, and that’s what matters.

I created an anonymous Instagram account, reposting quotes that resonated with me and journaling my thoughts and feelings in the captions. It started as a way to process my emotions, and somewhere I could go to feel inspired and reminded.
But it became something much deeper.
This account turned into my safe corner of the internet - a place where I could explore myself without judgment. Sharing my thoughts felt freeing because nobody knew who I was. But what I didn’t expect was how many of you aligned with my thoughts and feelings.
What started as my little online therapy session turned into something bigger.
Little did I know that so many of you would align with my thoughts and feelings. Hundreds of comments and messages came pouring in, saying things like, “Same!” and, “Wow, I needed this.” or, “You put into words what I’ve been struggling to express.”
Apparently, I wasn’t the only one trying to figure life out.
Those messages were everything. They told me I wasn’t alone, and they encouraged me to keep going - not just for myself but for this new community of people who felt the same.
It became about more than just my own answers; it became about sharing this journey with all of you.
Being biracial, born in the ’80s when it wasn’t as common, and raised by parents from two very different worlds (Germany and Somalia), has deeply shaped my experiences. Subconsciously, I wrestled with questions of belonging and identity for years. Which only fueled my passion for self-discovery and personal growth.
What started as an anonymous Instagram account became a tool for peeling back the layers, connecting with others, and discovering who I truly am. And it showed me that none of us are truly alone in our journeys to understand ourselves.
We just have to be proactive in the pursuit of finding ourselves and our people.
Because once you find them, the journey feels a whole lot less lonely and a lot more meaningful.
In August of 2015, I decided to make it official and dedicate myself to help others on the journey back home to themselves and signed myself up at Southwest Institute of Healing arts.
By June of 2017 I was certified in mind body transformational psychology and licensed to facilitate Hypnotherapy sessions.
Since then, I’ve been coaching, creating courses, facilitating workshops, and speaking about how to reconnect with your INNER-net.
Helping people who want to learn how to be more comfortable in their own skin, embrace their mistakes, insecurities and circumstances but not accept that to be the end of their story.
I’ve learned that self-love, self-acceptance, and self-actualization don’t just bring peace - they also pay you in prosperity.
For a long time, I was great at being there for everyone else, but I had no idea how to show up for myself. My own struggles with feeling unworthy and broken lit a fire in me - a deep desire to understand personal development, self-empowerment, and, most of all, healing.
I threw myself into it, immersing myself in the wisdom of thought leaders, attending courses, retreats, and workshops, investing in 1-on-1 coaching, and pursuing formal education.
Every step I took brought me closer to myself and taught me that the journey inward is the foundation for everything outward - peace, fulfillment, and even prosperity.
I am committed to being a lifelong student of the human experience, always striving to live ON PURPOSE, Soul-Full, and Courageously. I believe fear is not something to avoid but to embrace - it’s our soul’s compass, guiding us toward the path of becoming the best version of ourselves.
My mission is to help strengthen self-acceptance and self-actualization practices, empowering you to live a life that feels aligned and intentional. Working toward being more forgiving, at peace, playful, and courageous, stepping into your own story with purpose and confidence.
Turn your fear into fuel and your journey into joy.
